Jane makes interesting decisions. Jane does her best.
This is a story about Jane.
One day, Jane made a snowball.
Jane thought it would be a good idea to try and outrun her snowball.
A case of missing kids leads to an underground lair owned by a masterful tech genius.
Midnight. Perfect time for a run.
Water splashed against my new red running shoes, mud turning the white stripe into a dark stain as I ran. I glanced up to see the moon through the trees, remnants of a past storm causing the stars to sparkle in the droplets against the leaves. The wind roared in my ears, hands and arms relaxed as I sped through the forest towards the nearby town.
Once I reached the cobblestone street I had to slow down, weaving between the few people still out and about at this hour. I jogged my way to a squatty 3-story building set back among the line of dirty brick-row houses; my home
Loopty-loops of light and air.
I never asked to be made this way;
my mother as water
my father as air.
I never asked to be made this way;
blown into life
on a day most fair.
Here's a story...about an un-dead family!
Here’s the story,
of an undead lady,
Who was bringing up three very undead girls....
The bear prince isn’t sure he agrees with tradition. The one arranged to be his mate is very sure she does not.
Hair hanging off his skeletal shoulders and hips, the old Bear king breathed in a rattling sigh. The hot air brushed his drooping whiskers, the thinning fur covering his upper and lower lips turning black like the lower mountains. He turned his fading gaze to observe his son's argument one last time.
His son, the last-born of his mother, shuffled with indecision.
Perhaps Rocky the squirrel should not have been so Cocky...
There once was a squirrel named Rocky,
Who grew up ever so Cocky,
She sat up on her fence and twittered so neatly,
Thought her words and her prose wove ever so sweetly...
A Story of True Love
Once upon a time, there was a rose. His gardener called him Charlie.
Charlie loved the sunlight. It made him grow so big and bright that the gardener took great pride in him. He loved the gardener so much he spread his buds out and stretched his leaves, and the two lived in harmony for a while.
We didn't know. How could we know?!
How had things gone so wrong? How?! The apocalypse happened, like everyone knew it would. The rich, sophisticated, and the lucky were able to find their way into underground bunkers and had elected to stay for as long as needed. No one knew how long it would be. To be honest, no one really cared. There was a chance to start new, underground, and many believed it was for the best.
That was before the experiments. Before scientists tried tinkering with the biological. They tried everything to make things ‘better’, elongated lifespan, heightened immune system, treatments for muscle atrophy and brain diseases. But they couldn’t stop. Didn’t stop.
The Short Stories
From time to time I have minor adventures, whims, or odd ideas that manage to be written down. Below you'll find all my little nonsensical adventures, anything from other-worldly to other-wordly.
Occasionally I get a wild hair and do something I can't particular categorize. So it gets classified as 'nonsense' and put into the corner for others to look at.
To shorten this introduction: I'm a Millennial Gemini Ravenclaw Firebending INTP-T that is somewhere in the range between Enneagram numbers 4-7 (It keeps changing and I keep forgetting which number I'm supposed to be). If that doesn't give you some kind of picture of how I operate then you'll just have to start Googling things.
